CredenTrek For AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Choose It Right. Pass It Smart. Turn It into a Career.
Cloud Practitioner is not a list of service names. Learn what the exam really asks.
Candidates memorise services, then meet questions that ask which service, pricing option or support plan fits a situation. Others learn support plans AWS has since replaced, or open a practice account and receive a surprise bill. This book shows you the whole exam on one map and every decision around it.

Edition 2026.2 · Verified 9 October 2026. All 4 domains and 19 task statements verified against AWS's CLF-C02 exam guide on the AWS documentation site, including the current support plan and service names.
Where candidates go wrong
Cloud Practitioner looks easy from the outside, so candidates underprepare in the wrong places. They memorise a list of service names, then meet questions that ask which service fits a business need. Many give security a quarter of their time when it carries 30 per cent of the scored questions.
Others make costly practical mistakes. They open an AWS account to practise and receive an unexpected bill. Some study support plans that AWS has since replaced. Some arrive at a test centre with one ID instead of two, and many pass without knowing how to use the credential at work.
The gap this book fills
Most Cloud Practitioner resources are long video courses or banks of practice questions. Few show you the whole exam on one map and then help with every decision around it. Should you take it, how do you study safely and what do you do with the result? This book does both, and checks every changeable fact against AWS's own documents.
AWS Cloud Practitioner at a glance

What changed since earlier material
The current exam, CLF-C02, replaced CLF-C01 in September 2023. Security gained weight, billing lost weight, and new topics arrived, including the Cloud Adoption Framework and migration strategies. Material labelled CLF-C01 is three years out of date.

|---|---|---|
| 1 · Cloud Concepts | 26% | 24% |
| 2 · Security and Compliance | 25% | 30% |
| 3 · Technology (CLF-C01); Cloud Technology and Services (CLF-C02) | 33% | 34% |
| 4 · Billing and Pricing (CLF-C01); Billing, Pricing, and Support (CLF-C02) | 16% | 12% |

The exam code has not changed since, but the guide and the cloud have moved on. Three changes catch candidates who use older courses.
- Support plans. The guide now names Basic Support, AWS Business Support+, AWS Enterprise Support and AWS Unified Operations. AWS announced these plans in December 2025, and the older Developer, Business and Enterprise On-Ramp plans remain only until 1 January 2027.
- Service names. The guide uses current names such as Amazon SageMaker AI and Amazon Quick Sight, so expect them in questions.
- The Free Tier. New AWS accounts now receive credits under a free plan, not the older 12-month offer described in many courses. This matters for your practice account in Chapter 7.
What you will learn
You will learn what the Cloud Practitioner exam tests in full: the four domains and all 19 task statements of the current CLF-C02 exam guide, explained in plain English. You will see how the 65 questions are built and scored, which services candidates confuse most and what has changed since older courses were written. You will test yourself with 17 practice questions.
Around that content, you will learn how to decide whether this is the right first credential and how to plan your study hours. You will also learn to book, meet the identity rules, budget, contact AWS and turn the credential into real progress at work.
